To meet the basic qualification for this role, you will have legal authorization to work permanently in the United States for any employer without requiring a visa transfer or visa sponsorship. In addition, to be a good fit for the .NET Developer opportunity, you will have:
  • A bachelor's, associate's or technical degree in Computer Science or a similar focus preferred, or the equivalent combination of education and experience
  • A minimum of 3 years of development experience in a .NET environment, including most or all of the following:

Reporting to the Manager of Application Development, as .NET Developer, your primary focus will be to develop and implement Web-based software systems, applications and API projects. This includes maintaining existing application systems, building new systems and integrating back end applications with Web-based applications. In addition, you may sometimes serve as the technical contact between Classic Optical and internal and/or external customers who use our applications. 

You will join a Development team that includes two Senior Developers and your Manager, part of the larger IT team, where you will begin by training on smaller projects, handling tickets, etc. in order to learn our business and systems. After a few months, we expect that you'll be working on larger project launches, helping transition from legacy systems to a .NET framework. Specifically, you will:
  • Develop, code, install, test, debug and document .NET console and web applications using appropriate editors.
  • Provide frontline customer support for all .NET based application systems.
  • Identify, recommend and prioritize new features and applications in conjunction with business leaders and department managers.   
  • Help develop and maintain all company .NET based databases.  
  • Participate in setting organizational .NET software development strategy.          
  • Keep current on emerging technologies in support of .NET software development efforts.          
  • Work in collaboration with Senior Developers and IT Security Manager to ensure all .NET based application systems are secure and HIPAA compliant.
